Darker than expected
It was fine but the color was darker than expected.

A reactive glaze over stoneware, in mint green. The kiln finishes the band where the colours meet, so this piece carries the same glaze as the one photographed and a pattern of its own.
Holds 10 oz to the brim, comes as a set of 2, made for latte, cappuccino, espresso.
Capacity: 10 oz

Reactive glaze carries mineral oxides that travel while the piece fires. Thickness, kiln position and the shape underneath all pull the boundary between the colours around, so speckles land differently and a fade can sit higher or lower on the next piece.
When stacking glass or ceramic items for storage, place a cushion of soft material between each piece.

I bought these cups after a long search for just the right ones. See, a long while ago, I bought a tea cup and saucer on a whim, only to have it become my favorite cup I ever had. It became the only cup I'd drink tea out of. The problem with that being; that I couldn't use it while it was being washed. During my search for a suitable backup, I accidentally chipped my beloved cup. This now left me on a search for a replacement AND a backup.I found this set of cups, and they looked promising. They arrived nicely packed in molded foam inserts. I made sure to put them through the dishwasher to see if they could handle it, and they came out with no problems, cracks, chips, or glaze changes. The blue is perfect, and I love the aesthetics of the drippy look. That raw looking area under the blue glaze is in fact a matte look glaze that mimics the look of raw burnished clay, which I appreciate. The handles feel good in my hand the way I normally hold my cup, as well as feeling substantial and strong. I don't feel worried about them snapping off. The cups sit nicely in their saucers, so manufacturing is correctly done.In comparison to the cup they'll be replacing, they are taller and thinner. I also notice in my hand that they feel lighter than my favorite cup. That could be a pro or con, depending on hand strength and personal preferences. The saucer is also smaller than my favorite one, but I'm okay with that. The handles are a smidgen thinner, and they curve in on the top instead of flattening out. I prefer the handle of my favorite cup, but it's a minor enough difference that I can overlook it.In all, they're great cups. They'd make an amazing gift for someone if that's what you need, but they'd be just as good as a treat for yourself. I hope to come to love them as much as I loved my fave. In the meantime, they're perfectly suitable for my needs and wants.
I love these little cups. They are bigger than traditional cups, and of course not white. But they are big enough for a quad shot. The glazing work is beautiful, they fit under the brew head of my machine. They are easy to hold and comfortable in your hand. I have been using them for quite a while and so far not even a chip. They seem sturdy and well made. I love that they have little saucers with them also. I bought a little rack to store them and the saucers on my coffee bar. I feel that they add a little elegance to my coffee nook.
I love this cup and saucer set. They’re really cute, very functional, and the cups are just the right size—not too small and not too big.My only ongoing challenge is reminding the boys that the saucers are, in fact, saucers and not tiny little plates for snacks.Overall, I’m very happy with this set. It looks great, works well, and feels like the perfect size for everyday use. I would definitely recommend it and would buy it again.
Beautiful and well made. I'll definitely buy more dishes from this brand if I need more.
Excellent! A five star set of cups n saucers! Great looking, and in a variety of colors, these cups/saucers are solid and have a real nice feeling to them. Perfect.☕️👍
Perfect! I really love the size, shade and color of my cups! Put on the trash all my old cups!

The same eight things are true of every piece we make.
Stoneware fires dense, so it holds heat and shrugs off the knock against a tap.
Mineral oxides travel in the heat, so the firing draws the line between colours.
A large mug carries a handle you can put a whole hand through.
Wide feet and even rims, so a shelf of them sits flat.

Stated on nearly every piece in the range, and true of the glaze rather than a hope.
Speckles land differently and a fade can sit higher or lower on the next piece.
As stated on the range. The care page spells out what that means.
From 8.5 oz for a cappuccino to 50 oz for a mug of soup.
Three words used loosely on the same shelf. They describe how hot the clay was fired and how much water it will still absorb, and that difference decides how a piece behaves in a dishwasher, in a microwave and against the edge of a sink.
The three words describe firing temperature and how much water the fired body still takes up. Everything else follows from that.
