A reactive glaze over stoneware, in beige forest. The kiln finishes the band where the colours meet, so this piece carries the same glaze as the one photographed and a pattern of its own.

Reactive glaze carries mineral oxides that travel while the piece fires. Thickness, kiln position and the shape underneath all pull the boundary between the colours around, so speckles land differently and a fade can sit higher or lower on the next piece.
When stacking glass or ceramic items for storage, place a cushion of soft material between each piece.

Extremely disappointed!! The mug was delivered with no infuser whatsoever, which was the main reason I ordered it. The mug itself is pretty, and I'm sure the lid would work great as an infuser coaster after steeping, but I wouldn't know since I didn't get one. I won't be reordering since I dont want to risk spending more money on another mug with no infusers to show for it.
Nice mug. Easy to clean since I handwash my dishes. Easy to handle. Pretty design but not quite like the pictures. I wanted the picture version. It almost looks manufactured not homemade. The lid it a nice touch. I use the lid for when I'm outside sitting on the porch and relaxing inside, the lid is a coaster. I have yet to put it in the microwave.
Beautiful cup and cover keeps tea hot. Love the insert for brewing loose tea; cover fits well over it. Love it and may get another one in another color.
Very nice. Just what I wanted . Also very pretty and holds just the right amount !
I love my nightly herbal tea's and this cup with lid allows me to make infusions to get the most benefit from the herbs. Will definitely buy again as the quality is great and delivers the perfect cup of herbal tea.
I ordered this cup for my desk at work. Its perfect bc the strainer means I can use any of the teas I have. When the cup got here the strainer was missing but there was a card with it that had an email for support. I sent them an email and they immediately sent me a replacement. They asked that I reach back out once I received the replacement to be sure it had everything and that it arrived safely. No 21 questions, no fuss. Just quick and helpful!! I will be checking with this company in the future for any other needed items!!P.s. the cup is adorable, the handle is the perfect size and the strainer is fine enough for my finely ground herbal mate tea! You won't be disappointed
Nice quality mug with a nice, very fine, infuser basket. No dregs left in the bottom of the cup. Roomy handle for a good grip. The lid is nice for keeping the tea hot and you can rest the infuser on it when you're done steeping your tea. I like to brew a double size cup, I would size up to 16oz next time to leave more room for milk. This mug ( not the infuser basket ) does great in the dishwasher, no problems.
The same eight things are true of every piece we make.
Stoneware fires dense, so it holds heat and shrugs off the knock against a tap.
Mineral oxides travel in the heat, so the firing draws the line between colours.
A large mug carries a handle you can put a whole hand through.
Wide feet and even rims, so a shelf of them sits flat.
Stated on nearly every piece in the range, and true of the glaze rather than a hope.
Speckles land differently and a fade can sit higher or lower on the next piece.
As stated on the range. The care page spells out what that means.
From 8.5 oz for a cappuccino to 50 oz for a mug of soup.
Three words used loosely on the same shelf. They describe how hot the clay was fired and how much water it will still absorb, and that difference decides how a piece behaves in a dishwasher, in a microwave and against the edge of a sink.
The three words describe firing temperature and how much water the fired body still takes up. Everything else follows from that.
