Disappointing
Lid is a very sloppy fit. Can't recommend.

Glazed stoneware in black, fired hard enough to shrug off a daily wash.
Holds 16 oz to the brim, sold singly, made for tea.

We mix this glaze to sit still in the heat, so the finish stays even across the piece and from one piece to the next.
When stacking glass or ceramic items for storage, place a cushion of soft material between each piece.

We bought this teacup with cover for our daughter-in-law for Christmas and she loves it! Perfect size and she loved the earthy color combination!
Absolutely love these. I bought 4 . I drink tea every day . I use the insert for my tea bag instead of loose tea leaves. So much easier than squeeing the tea bag on a spoon. And I love the steeping lid. The price is just right. The quality is great, dishwasher safe, keeps my tea warm. Although the handle is a bit hot right after microwaving, but cools pretty quickly. Not the prettiest color but I was going for function and price and this hit the spot.
Love this cup. It has become my dedicated coffee cut. Grind a tablespoon of beans, dump in strainer, let sit in hot water 5-10 minutes. Dip the strainer up/down 5 or so times then drink.
Great size, love the lid and infuser. Looks good feels good... Overall very happy with the purchase!
Got this for my husband who loves loose leaf tea but also has to worry about it getting cold on his desk while he's teaching. This mug means he doesn't have to cover his tea with paper towels to keep it warm anymore! It's also stylish, and feels solid without being heavy. I recommend it for any tea lovers or for anyone who likes to keep their drinks hot in a more standard mug.
Have been brewing, long tea, loose leaf, and needed a larger strainer. This is great because it is the size of the cup and you can use the lid to rest and catch the strainer on. It’s about 16 ounces and is a super cute design.

The same eight things are true of every piece we make.
Stoneware fires dense, so it holds heat and shrugs off the knock against a tap.
Mineral oxides travel in the heat, so the firing draws the line between colours.
A large mug carries a handle you can put a whole hand through.
Wide feet and even rims, so a shelf of them sits flat.

Stated on nearly every piece in the range, and true of the glaze rather than a hope.
Speckles land differently and a fade can sit higher or lower on the next piece.
As stated on the range. The care page spells out what that means.
From 8.5 oz for a cappuccino to 50 oz for a mug of soup.
Three words used loosely on the same shelf. They describe how hot the clay was fired and how much water it will still absorb, and that difference decides how a piece behaves in a dishwasher, in a microwave and against the edge of a sink.
The three words describe firing temperature and how much water the fired body still takes up. Everything else follows from that.
